As a mum with children who are now all adults (when did that happen?!) I have a deep appreciation for continuing to capture who our children are as they grow into adults - seeing and celebrating who they are becoming. While this may look different than it did at family photoshoots when they were little, it’s equally as special - after all, they’ll always be our babies, right?!

For this family photoshoot, we captured the older children in their emerging adulthood, as well as those cute baby details of their newest love. Not only is each family member celebrated as an individual, but also in their precious roles as older siblings for their little brother, and of course the parents whose love story started it all.

A lot of families seem to get photos done when their babies are born, but then don’t think to photograph them through the years as they grow up. But here’s the thing. Primary school aged kids are awesome!! They have their own unique personalities, their own loves and hobbies, they’re loosing teeth, they scrape their knees playing sport, and they just love life!

Thank you to all the lovely families who joined the fun at my White Christmas Family Photos in 2020. Christmas is such a busy time, but it was so nice to take time out of the craziness, focus just on the moment in front of us, and make some fun and happy memories before the year was out!

This past Mother’s Day, I had the honour of photographing lots of beautiful mum’s with their beloved babies - babies both big and small. I just love that these mummas see the value in both themselves and the relationship they have with their children enough to have it documented for posterity.
