Celebrating a 10 Year Wedding Anniversary

I recently had the pleasure of doing a wedding anniversary photo shoot for the Ransons. I’ve had the opportunity of photographing the Ranson family in the past as they record special family milestones and document their boys growing up. This time was no exception. Having celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary earlier in the year, the Ranson’s wanted to mark that special occasion with some family fun that they can look back on with their two gorgeous boys in the years to come.

This wedding anniversary photo shoot was not only a great chance to update the family photos, but also to celebrate the whole reason their family came about, Mum and Dad. During the photo shoot, we took some time to just focus on them as a couple. It’s a wonderful thing to have photos of your kids growing up through the stages of life, but it’s just as important to celebrate the glue that holds the family together. A ten year wedding anniversary is no small achievement and deserves a moment to itself just to be enjoyed and preserved. I surprised the Ranson’s with a little bottle of bubbles to mark the occasion.

Of course, as with family life, the kids were back and running laps around mum and dad soon enough, just another representation of the fun, loving energy in this family and some great memories both for Mum and Dad, and the boys to enjoy both now and in the future.

I especially love the images of Dad with his boys, showing both that protective strength and silly fun that is Dad’s role in his sons lives.

These family images are such a testimony to how family life just never stops. The days and years pass but the love and energy continue and what a wonderful way to celebrate family than a day out where everyone has a place, and treasured memories are created.
