Family Photography Sydney :: The Hopkins Family

There are so many pretty spots around the Hawkesbury and Western Sydney to have your family photos, but when a family asks if it would be possible to take the photos on their own property, my first response is always YES! Because we’re not just creating beautiful family photos for you, we’re documenting your story and creating childhood memories for your kids in the process.

So when I arrived at the Hopkins family property they asked me to excuse the pile of boulders, logs and weeds on one side of the yard - Dad owns an excavating business (another part of the family story). However, my creative heart lept for joy and I made a bee-line straight for that pile of boulders and pretty yellow weeds. The kids had already started climbing the pile, as kids naturally do and so that’s where we started. Photographing the kids doing what they love, doing what they do naturally, and making magic along the way.

In 5-10 year’s time when you’re all curled up on the lounge and flipping through your family photo album, you’ll hear the kids say things like “remember when we lived down by river?”, “Oh, I loved building cubby houses in our yard!”, “Remember when dad started his business and we’d always climb on the boulders he bought home?”

Family photography is taking the time to celebrate your family and creating something beautiful to enjoy both now and in the years to come. I can’t think of a better place to do that than at your home.
