I love photographing the Storey family (this session is our fifth!), but these beach family photos were extra special. You see Owen is in the Navy and he was being deployed overseas for 9 months. I can't even imagine! We already rescheduled the session due to horrible winds, but this particular weekend was our last chance to capture some beautiful family photos before he left the very next week. Yes it was overcast, yes it was windy, yes it was even a little chilly but we definitely made the most of it. Afterall a family's love isn't dependent on the weather or location. The cuddles were still plenty, the laughs were still rolling, and the tickles were abundant. I am so totally honoured that these photos are connecting a family across thousands of miles. Lisa can flip through her album with her girls tucked up on her lap each night, and Owen has a custom gallery app on his phone that he was able to take with him.Godspeed Owen. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I hope time passes by quickly for you all and you can all be in each other's arms once again. xxx
