Autumn Family Photos

Are there any other Autumn diehard fans out there??! What a colourful, crisp time of year! It creates the perfect backdrop for an outdoor family photoshoot! Mix in some fun colours and this will be a day of fun that will always be remembered! You’ll find out below why this particular spot worked in so well for the Buchanan family for their Autumn family photos, but one thing I must say first is, aside from Autumn, I love relaxed family photoshoots, and this day in particular was so fun because the family fully embraced the memories they were making and their own personalities. Family photos don’t need to be a posed, stuffy, stressful experience. Look at the life and fun in these family photos and imagine that kind of day for your own family!

As a Hawkesbury family photographer, we are lucky to have access to so many great outdoor locations, both in our own backyard, and even within a few hours of driving. Outdoor family photo shoots really give everyone the opportunity to relax, stretch, enjoy the moment and capture some excellent moments of togetherness and interaction. We can capture both loving, embracing photos, as well as letting the kids get a little wild and free for those fun photos that really capture them in this season (and you too, Mum and Dad!)

So the location story is one worth telling! Jess and Leigh had their wedding photos taken in front of this very barn one Summer when the leaves were green. Then, two years ago, we recreated their wedding photo with their baby girls when the barn was covered in thick green foliage. This year we recreated it again in Autumn with the girls a little bit older. What a beautiful and fun documentation of the changing seasons of family life.
