A Tribute to Mums Everywhere

I see you.

Always serving your family. Always making sure they have everything they need before you ask for anything for yourself.

You steal a nap when your baby naps and you jump into the bath with your toddlers because you realise you haven't had time for a shower.
You eat left over sandwich crusts and the last three quarters of the apple your kid started.
You wash and clean and scrub and fold, only to do it all again the next day.
You have no idea what's happening on the latest Netflix series that your old work mates are watching, but you know all the words to every Moana song.

And you love it.
You wouldn't have it any other way.

This gift of motherhood is exhausting, but it's all you've ever wanted.
You don't mind a bit that you missed a night out with the girls, because the smile on your daughter’s face as she parades her last-minute-late-night book week costume is a memory that will warm your heart for years to come.
You look forward to taxi-ing your teen to and from their first job, because it's an opportunity to talk about their day without distractions.

Somedays you feel invisible. Somedays you feel lost.
But with just one look into their sweet faces, you feel seen.
With one squeeze from their hand, you find your way.
