The Look of Love at Otto's Newborn Photoshoot

Welcome sweet Otto. These are the first days of Y O U. The early days of family are such treasured days. Yet they are often a whirlwind of tiredness and newness. I love that Otto will always have these lovely, natural memories of his first days, the way he loved, nurtured, protected and adored in the arms of Mum and Dad. There’s so many things that a newborn photo shoot give you, here’s just a few. It will highlight and display the things you forget. The way his toes wrinkles, the size of him in your arms, the cute little expressions. At the time these things are all consuming, and yet so soon little Otto will be on his way to school, or getting his licence (can you tell what phase of motherhood I’m in now), and you’ll be so glad you captured these moments.

It can be daunting as a new parent to get in photos with our babies. We are not usually at the height of our self-care and rejuvenating sleep, but many parents remark that seeing the way their baby cradled in their arms, brings back emotions and joy that can never be recaptured. There’s one more thing that newborn photo shoots give you…. well, give your baby. Imagine the curious wonder that Otto will stare with as he looks at these photos one day. “That’s me?!” How loved and cherished he will feel, and not only that, but even when he’s grown, to see the overwhelming love and pleasure in the eyes of Mum and Dad as they gazed at him. It’s a treasure and a privilege. Don’t let these moments pass you by!

With these sweet moments of baby Otto’s first weeks, we were able to create this beautiful Gallery Print: a series of 4 images displayed in a single modern box frame. Two photos of gorgeous Otto showing his sweet newborn features, and a photo each with his Mum & Dad, showing just how little he is, and also how much he is loved. By choosing to design this collection in black and white, it will truly remain a timeless art piece as styles change over the years. But no matter how styles change or technology becomes outdated, art pieces like this will be cherished for many years to come.
