Behind the Scenes at a Family Photoshoot

Maybe candid lifestyle photography is more your style.So that you can get an idea of what it's like working with me, here's a little sneak peak behind the scenes at one of my family lifestyle sessions.This particular day, we started off in the home, which is something I love. Hopefully, you have some fond memories of the home you grew up in as a child - maybe even with some photos. This is your opportunity to give these childhood memories to you own kids. Looking back on photos of their childhood home, especially if it changes over the years, or if you move house, will make for some priceless memories. Family photos on the master bed are my favourite. There’s plenty of room to laze around and get lots of cuddles. I mean, what parent's story doesn't include kids in the bed, am I right?! Next we headed outside to get some lovely natural outdoorsy photos. There's just something about natural, sun-drenched photos that warms my soul. It's also a great opportunity for kids to get out and explore. A change of scenery gives the gives little ones a break (even though I’m alway’s shooting) and keeps the session interesting and fun. There's usually lots of interesting things to look at and wide open spaces to play games.It’s important to me that this isn’t just a photo shoot, but rather a fun and relaxing time for you with your family. Nearly every client tells me that they don't feel comfortable in front of the camera, but when you’re with the ones you love just having fun, you’ll find that you’re no longer worried about the photos.
